Dear Feel Love Now Community,
When life is shifting your body, emotions, relationships, or even the world itself—it can feel overwhelming. This dialogue between Swami Nityananda and Acharya Kashi reminds us that deep within all change is something unchanging, steady, and wise.
When we stay connected to that inner stillness, we can meet life’s waves with grace instead of fear. Change becomes something we can ride, not something we drown in.
Here’s one of our favorite dialogues from Swami Nityananda & Acharya Kashi:
[SWAMI NITYANANDA:] “I kind of smile to myself and I say that my job is always to check in with the news of the eternal and share the news of the eternal.
”In some ways, it’s always the same and yet, as things unfold in time and space there are always new questions that unfold as well. So, naturally, from a human standpoint, there are these, you could call them calls from the heart of humans.
”So many things are changing in my life, in my body, in my emotions, in my mind, in my family, in my workplace, in my country, in the world, and how can I meet that change from a place of gracefulness and wisdom and openness and allowing. That’s our basic question. Another thing: I love the Octavia Butler quote you started with and I take it as not contradictory.”
[ACHARYA KASHI:] “I don’t think it’s contradictory. I think that on the surface it seems contradictory because she says, ‘God is change.’ The Upanishads say, ‘God is changeless.’ It requires wisdom to know that they are saying the same thing.”
[SWAMI NITYANANDA:] “Yeah, agree. So, Swami Shankarananda, I think he says, ‘Change is the gift of the changeless.’ The change comes and the changeless is there right in the midst of the change. When we’re in contact with the changeless in the midst of change, it becomes more like surfing and less like drowning when we’re dealing with the waves of change.”
