Why Wars Start (and How They Can End)

A dialogue between Swami Nityananda and Acharya Kashi presented in HD audio and video

Dear Feel Love Now Community,

We recently shared this video on YouTube, but wanted you to be able to have it on your Substack video player as well, in case you prefer that.

Having it on Substack makes it easy for you to see any other podcasts, videos, articles, or full meditation services that might be available in the Truth, Love, & Justice Series by clicking here.

In this meditation, inspired by Lao Tzu’s wisdom and Swami Nityananda’s teachings, we reflect on the nature of peace and the causes of war.

Lao Tzu’s quote, “Can you be patient enough to allow the mud to settle?” reminds us that peace arises when we let the turbulence within us calm. War, on the other hand, is the ultimate expression of human ignorance, rooted in the delusion of separation and attachment to conflicting ideals.

Join us as we explores how meditation and unity consciousness can help us transcend the illusion of division and embrace true peace.

Here’s one of our favorite quotes from Acharya Kashi

“When I was meditating on peace, I was reminded of a quote that I heard from Swami [Nityananda]. It’s from Lao Tzu: ‘Can you be patient enough to allow the mud to settle.’

“And so, peace is what is when the mud settles within each of us and war is when the water is muddy. It is the ultimate expression of human ignorance. War is the ultimate expression of human ignorance. It emerges only through the identification with separation consciousness because there is the delusion of an us and a them.

”There is the attachment to concept, to idea—that my ideals supersede the ideals of this person, this group. The thing about war is that it requires organization—meaning, it has to be a collective effort. There are a group of people who have separated themselves from another group of people.”
